Smart Light Pac SLP-1208 — erected, 3D view
Three Part Carriers

Smart Light Pac 1208 & 1210

SLP-1208 / SLP-1210

A lightweight, three-part carrier — lid, foldable side walls and a plastic pallet — that folds down 65–70% for the return trip. Available in two footprints (1200 × 800 and 1200 × 1000), each with variable ring heights (990 / 1260) that flex the volume to the job; low tare keeps handling and freight light.

Why this carrier

Folds 65–70%

Collapses to a fraction of its volume for low-cost return transport.

Light & hygienic

Low tare incl. lid; ideal for high-value and hygiene-sensitive goods.

Two footprints, variable heights

Choose 1200 × 800 or 1200 × 1000, then flex the volume via the ring height — one base, many configurations.

Designed down to the detail

How the Smart Light Pac is built and works, and why each detail cuts handling, freight and waste.

Smart Light Pac — erected and ready to be filledSmart Light Pac — folded flat for the return trip
Construction

Three parts, one clean loop

Lid, a foldable ring and a plastic pallet. Set it up to fill, fold it down 65 to 70% for the return. Fewer return transports, less stored empty volume, one carrier that keeps circulating.

Smart Light Pac wall panel — twin-wall PP sandwich cross-section
Rings

Light where it counts, stiff where it matters

The foldable ring is built from twin-wall polypropylene sandwich panels with a rigid truss core: high stiffness at low weight. That keeps tare and freight cost down, while the closed surfaces stay easy to clean for hygiene-sensitive goods.

Folding

The ring folds flat

Empty, the ring collapses onto the pallet. Its panels fold in one of three geometries: C, Z or M.

Smart Light Pac — corner clip closures securing the lid to the baseSmart Light Pac — fold-down drop door with hook-and-loop fastener
Handling

Secure to stack, easy to fill

Corner clip closures lock the lid to the base for safe stacking and transport. A fold-down drop door with a velcro fastener opens the front for ergonomic filling and emptying, with no unstacking and no lifting over the wall.

Closure system

A closure that needs no hands

The closure works by pressure, not by hand. The side walls can always be placed correctly, and a double lock keeps the carrier tightly shut in transit. Principle: pressure lock. The benefit for you: no extra handling of the closures when you assemble the box, exactly what automated lines need.

The flexible mechanism in the lock

The locking mechanism carries a flexible element that the ring can press outwards. Once the ring is in position, the element moves back and fixes the side walls.

How it works

The ring slides down and pushes the flexible mechanism outwards. With the ring in position, the mechanism automatically returns to its natural position.

During assembly and disassembly

Assembly fixes the ring with gravity and compressive force, disassembly releases it with a lift and a pull. In both directions: no bending over and no manual effort on the closures.

Smart Light Pac — lid underside with four-corner guide ribs
Lid guidance

The lid finds its place

Guide ribs in all four corners of the lid steer it onto the ring, so it closes fast and intuitively — no struggling to line up the side walls, whether a person or a machine sets the lid.

Base

A base built to last

Enlarged 206 mm feet keep the carrier stable in high-bay racks and on automatic conveyors. The skids are held by bayonet fittings instead of welds, so a damaged skid swaps out in seconds with no unstable welding — and the fully closed base leaves no water pockets inside.

Volume

Maximum usable volume

Thin, stiff sandwich walls keep the outside compact while opening up the inside: up to around 1,200 litres of usable volume. More product per carrier means fewer trips and a lower storage, container and freight cost per litre.

Where it fits

Lighter goods

When the product is on the lighter side and blocking is not a big risk: low tare, easy handling and low freight; the variable ring height flexes the volume.

High-value & hygiene-sensitive

Dust and lid protection, easy to clean; an optional light divider/intermediate layer allows simple partitioning. (Heavy goods with a blocking risk? → Smart Heavy Pac.)

Used across all FMCG industries

Food, cosmetics, beverages, pharma, chemical, household and hygiene.

Dividing & separation

SLP intermediate layer with X-divider — example of two-level loading

Intermediate Layer

A flat intermediate layer that stacks levels of goods inside a Smart Light Pac (not an SHS shelf). Combinable with the X-divider insert.

SLP X-divider insert splitting the interior into four compartments

X-Divider Insert

A drop-in X-shaped divider that splits a Smart Light Pac into four compartments — separate and protect goods without a second carrier. Combinable with an intermediate layer.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Which footprints are available?
Two: 1200 × 800 (SLP-1208) and 1200 × 1000 (SLP-1210). Each comes with variable ring heights (990 / 1260 mm).
How much volume does it save when folded?
Folded, it reduces volume by 65–70%, cutting return-transport space and cost.
Can the height be changed?
Yes — the ring height is variable (e.g. 990 or 1260 mm) so one base covers several volumes.
