Checking a delivery on receipt
When a delivery arrives, check the quantity of the load carriers you receive. If you spot any irregularity, report it to us. Our Quality Management records the case and coordinates every next step with you, including the pick-up and replacement of any inadequate load carriers.

Please include in your report
- Product type (ex. SLP)
- Product name (ex. 1208-1260)
- Quantity (number of pieces)
- Barcode number
- A photo of any damage
Forklift & pallet-truck handling
Always lift the Smart Light Pac completely; never push it, loaded or empty.

Forklift: enter from the short sides
- Green: enter from the short sides
- Red: never enter from the long sides, the skids would break
- Lift completely; never push

No scissor lifts or scissor pallet trucks
- Their lifting mechanism presses on the skids and breaks them
- Use a forklift from the short sides instead

Labeling requirements
All users of RECALO’s reusable containers are obliged to use removable labels without any residue.
Allowed
- PE (polyethylene) self-adhesive labels or label-bags, that can be easily removed without residue
Not allowed
- Paper labels that can not be removed with little effort and without residue
- Any markings with paint or varnishes, i.e., felt-tip pens or sprays
- Any type of glue, incl. hotmelt glue, adhesives or staples that can not be removed with little effort and without residue
- Any labelling with residue that can not be used safely in the food and hygiene sector
- Any type of adhesive tape (color or transparent) that can not be removed with little effort and without residue
Erecting the Smart Light Pac
No manual handling of the locks is required at any step; the ring fixes itself automatically. Follow the nine steps from folded to built-up and closed.
- 01

Folded Smart Light Pac.
- 02

First remove the lid.
- 03

Lift and erect the folded ring.
- 04

Unfold the ring completely and push it into the groove of the base. No manual handling of the locks required.
- 05

For easier loading, open the flap door: push it outwards until the velcro fasteners release.
- 06

Attach the opened flap door to the velcro pads on the outside of the ring, so it sits close to the wall.
- Optional accessory

Optional: place the X divider insert to split the interior into four compartments.
- Optional accessory

Optional: add the interlayer with X divider to load goods in two levels.
- 07

After filling, close the flap door.

Folding it down for the return
Six steps take the carrier from assembled back to a flat, stackable pack, again with no manual handling of the locks.

- 05

- 06

Finally, place the lid on top.
Stacking in the warehouse and on the truck
The Smart Light Pac stacks two ways: assembled and loaded for storage, disassembled and folded for the return leg. Both keep a single floor space working as hard as possible.

Assembled and loaded — up to 3 high
- Stack a maximum of 3 loaded load carriers on a single space
- Static top-load capacity: 760 kg
- The interlocking lid stops the containers from slipping

Disassembled, empty & folded — up to 13 high
- Stack up to 13 folded on a single space
- 13 levels reach an overall height of approx. 2.91 m
- Folded height only 237 mm
No outdoor storage
Never store the Smart Light Pac outdoors: external storage must be avoided for hygienic reasons. Keep the load carriers inside, dry and clean, ready for the food and hygiene sector.
Arranging a collection
When your empty load carriers are ready, load them 13-fold stacked and let us know. Our logistics team agrees the collection address and loading times with you, and gives you a reference number. On collection day, load only when the forwarder’s reference number matches the one RECALO announced to you in advance. That is how you know it is our authorised forwarder.
Have ready for a collection
- Product type (ex. SLP)
- Product name (ex. 1208-1260)
- Quantity (number of pieces)
- Collection address (if it differs from your HQ)
Complete the system
Two optional inserts are available on request — the same ones shown as optional steps in the assembly above.

Intermediate Layer
A flat intermediate layer that stacks levels of goods inside a Smart Light Pac (not an SHS shelf). Combinable with the X-divider insert.

X-Divider Insert
A drop-in X-shaped divider that splits a Smart Light Pac into four compartments — separate and protect goods without a second carrier. Combinable with an intermediate layer.
